Job Description

Purpose of the role

The role of IT Executive within our Malaysia office is to ensure that all information technology applications and supporting hard ware is functioning at optimum levels. From maintenance, installation to troubleshooting capabilities, this exiting role for the technologically savvy comes with an overseeing, coordinating and supervising role with primary focus on stability, security and connectivity. You will become part of a dynamic team of travel professionals, based in our Kuala Lumpur head office.

 

Overall Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that all software related applications and servers in Asian Trails Malaysia are in working order
  • Ensuring that all network-relatedmatters within the company are maintained and configured in accordance to the company specifications
  • Will be able to troubleshoot, maintain and ensure that the company’s telephone system (PABX) works in accordance to the set parameters
  • Overall responsibility of all hard and software applications for all of its users (i.e. Installation and updates of OS, troubleshoot of hard- and software matters) as a main contact person for Asian Trails Malaysia
  • Scheduling upgrades and security backups and hardware and software system
  • Ensuring that all company PCs have an antivirus protection at all times
  • Identify, analyse and resolve IT issues and provide technical support for IT infrastructure and systems
  • Ensure that the Public server is always cleaned up and in order
  • Assist with Data maintenance of the internal back office system
  • Assist in purchasing new PCs and mobile phones as per company requirement
  • Any other task as assigned by the Management

Qualifications

  • A diploma/degree in computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent
  • Excellent knowledge of hard and software applications as well a solid knowledge of various network systems
  • Minimum 1-2 years working experiences in similar capacity
  • Experience with travel product is a pre, not a requisite
  • Good command of the English language is a must (reading, writing and understanding)
  • Analytical capacity, an eye for detail, accuracy  and a clear understanding of IT infrastructures
  • Able to start immediately.
  • Possess organizational skills and proper communication skills with its supervisor
  • Able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and work flexible hours during peak season. A "Can Do" attitude and positive thinking that includes creative thinking is an asset
