Job Description

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

  • –Analyze and refresh product catalogue on an on-going basis
  • –Conduct product research throughout Myanmar to develop unique touring ideas and products
  • –Work closely with sales teams on production tasks
  • –Design and price the online B2B Tariff (yearly)
  • –Actively seek out new suppliers (restaurants, activities, hotels, etc) and build successful working relationships with them
  • –Analyze client feedback and improve/change products as needed
  • –Develop tools that help sales understand and sell the right products to the right agents
  • –Research and help develop client profiles for sales and operations
  • –Stay informed of global and regional travel trends
  • –Organize inspection on site and report pertinent information

 

COMMUNICATION AND MARKETING

  • –Create suitable documents to store information and support the other departments
  • –Keep factsheets and materials on B2B site up to date
  • –Deliver clear, precise information for the bi-weekly product newsletter
  • –Alert marketing to any urgent matters that require a newsflash alert
  • –Monitor external communications from competitors as well as local media for new product ideas or information that may affect current products

 

TRAINING

  • –Coach and supervise members of Production Department
  • –Develop useful, effective training materials
  • –Conduct training sessions with sales & operations for new products
  • –Coach new sales on how to develop a good itinerary
  • –Conduct guide training regarding new products, client expectations and similar topic

Required Skills

  • –great knowledge of the Myanmar destination and culture
  • –excellent communication skills in English is a must
  • –good skills in a second language (French, German, Italian or Spanish) is an advantage
  • –At least three years experience in similar position (DMC experience desirable)
  • –Ability to work independently at times
  • –High level of personal presentation, spoken and visual
  • –Be willing and available to travel often under simple conditions
  • –Creativity, autonomy and good sense of product’s evaluation
  • –deep understanding of South East Asian cultures & destinations
  • –deep understanding of the global travel industry
