Sales Executive – Indian Subcontinent

Job Description

Purpose of the role 
The role of sales executive is a crucial link between a new key account partner and our suppliers. You will be working closely together with the Asian Trails inbound and contracting team. Your aim is to build the relationship with key account in the appointed source markets, covering both leisure and MICE business across different product lines, and help ensure a competitive product offer and operational handling. The role is a diverse one covering product development, quotations and reservations, quality control and some strategic planning. 

Overall Responsibilities 
* Communicating, maintaining and building business relationships with clients, meeting their
demands and requirements 
* Responsible for reservations and quotations, both for individual as well as group travel 
requests of all travel-related travel requirements
* Creating and advising tailor-made travel packages
* Ensuring that all relevant data is uploaded in Asian Trails’ administration system and filed 
appropriately
* Coordination with the operation department with our offices in booking land services
* Provide essential destination training towards customers 
* Take a pro-active role in product development that suit the assigned market segment
* Follow up on payments and pending matters with customers
* Co-operating with other internal departments, follow up and ensure completion of tour  
programs created and service quality
* Attending sales team meetings and training programs
* Work closely with colleagues from other departments and offices within the Asian Trails 
Group

Qualifications 
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a travel & tourism company, preferably in the Indian Subcontinent markets
* Being familiar with various products for the Indian Subcontinent markets across MICE, SIC and FIT leisure market segments
* Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism
* Excellent command of English is a must
* Specific destination knowledge in Myanmar and/or South East Asia
* Experience with destination management software is an advantage
* Good command of Microsoft Office applications
* Able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and work flexible hours during peak season. A "Can Do" attitude and positive thinking that includes creative thinking is an asset
